Welcome to Gentry Guitars, and please take some time to browse through
the on-line showcase of guitars and crafting displayed here throughout this
site!
I wanted to give serious lovers of guitars and stringed instruments a
good "bird's-eye" view of what it is to craft
and create an instrument that a musician can be proud to own and to play.
The different sections of this site --
Building a Guitar,
Custom Design,
Guitar Gallery, and Restorations -- are designed to take you
"backstage" through special photo layouts, and to feature instruments
that are either presently available, or that can be custom-built by special
order.
All instruments are hand-made and feature the finest woods, materials and
accessories available.
Featured guitars include types of
Dreadnaught-style
bodies that
duplicate the dimensions and shape of the D-28 Dreadnaught made by the C.F.
Martin Company, and offer a choice of various
exotic woods and colors.
Other instrument shapes and styles can be crafted (such as the
00028-style body shown in the Restorations section of this
site). On occasion I will create a fully custom-designed instrument, such as
the hollow-body electrified upright "Dyna-Bass" featured in the Custom Design section of this web site.
